Forth of July

In order to finish my clinical hours required for this past semester at BYU-I, we traveled up to Utah for 2 weeks. It was a great excuse to be in Layton on the 4th of July. I love Layton city parades, and I especially love the city's firework shows. Abby did the fun walk/run with her uncles Jordan and Gabe on the morning of the 4th, and her dad ran with her the last 100 yards or so.

Abby and Aidan got the chance to ride on an old fire truck with my mom (City Council) in the parade. Who knew Abby had the makings of a beauty queen in her?.... Oh ya, I did. She LOVED waving to the people along the parade route. My mom said that as soon as she told her to wave, she did just that-the whole way.


Aidan did not quite understand the concept as well as Abby. He wasn't scared, or mad, I think he was just indifferent. At least he wasn't screaming, right Mom?

Before the parade was over, I was off to my first clinical at McKay Dee Hospital. I did 5 hours of clinical time between the parade and fireworks. This was only the beginning of my CRAZY 2 weeks. We were all excited to watch fireworks. Abby and Aidan had such a busy day (and no nap) that after about 20 fireworks they were both asleep. Wow, Layton does a good job! Hope you enjoy some of the show!
