He is getting much bigger and his scrawny little limbs are starting to fill out. He wakes up for 1 1/2 - 2 hours at a time and is learning to sleep at night.... learning is the key word. Abby loves to hold him for long periods of time (1/2 hour is really long for a 6 year old), and while she holds him she "sings" to him. The words don't make sense and she is off key, but it is sweet that she wants to sing to him. Aidan has mixed feelings about his little brother. Most of the time he kisses him and is soft with him, but the other day he came to me and said, "I don't like baby Jacob. Can you put him down and hug me?" What can I say... I'm a sucker. I told him, "we all love baby Eli, but I will put him down and give you a hug too."
Spencer is doing well too. He is on paternity leave from work. He gets 10 days off... you have to love the military. He just told me that he is now officially board of our movie selection. It is nice to hand the baby off to him, and he even helped Abby off to school today.
My mom was here for a week, and it was WONDERFUL to have her here. She helped out tremendously, and I think she even liked to hold the baby =). She went back home yesterday and both of my kids are very sad. I am glad she will be back down here in about a month for the baby blessing.
I was able to take some pictures on Tuesday. They are mainly for announcements, but I will post a few here. We are all in love with our newest addition.
