Meanwhile Aidan says in an alrmed voice "mama I'm pooing". I find him behind the kitchen table with poo runing down his legs and dripping on the floor. 1/2 hour later Aidan, the floor, and his clothes are cleaned up, and I go back to doing the dishes. When spencer comes out to eat breakfast I began yelling at him for no particular reason. I am mad at EVERYTHING at this point. He takes the phone and disapears.
A while later (I'm still doing the mountian of dishes) he starts rummaging through my purse. I ask what he is doing and he tell me that he is looking for Dr Decker's phone #. Why would he need my OB's phone #? I came up with a bunch of no-good ideas that were fueled by my bad morning. When he couldn't find it I ripped his head off, chewed it up a bit before spitting it out and squashing it under high-heels. (I edited the screeming for your benefit). I finally found the number for him and sulked back to the kitchen.
I was sitting on the couch a while later in the middle of a pile of laundry (fuming again about my undone chores), when Spencer told me I had an appointment at 12:30 and should probably shower and be ready by noon. GRRRRRRRRR. What the heck...I'll play his stupid game. I showered (I even shaved to spite him further...how stupid is that), I put on make-up and got dressed. I fixed a nice lunch in my clean kitchen, and by now I have stopped simmering enough to be a bit curious. Did he call Dr Decker to let him know that I was on the verge of a mental breakdown and the Dr needed to prescribe me some crazy pills?
We drove across town in silence. Finally pulling up infront of Spa One. He told me I had an appointment for a 1 hour massage, a pedicure and manicure. He said he had paid for it already, and that he had to call Dr Decker to get a Dr's note for the massage. Silence.

Wow. What an idiot I have been. With my eyes wet with tears I said thankyou, kissed him good-bye and slinked into the beautiful spa like the scum I was. The hour long massage took place on a heated table with aromatherapy oils, quiet music, soft lighting and heated towels. My massage therapist had 3 kids of her own and was emapthetic to the 3rd pregnancy condition I was in. The whole hour I thought of my loving husband and the efforts he had taken to get me to the appointment. He should have/could have stopped setting it up when I ripped his head off about the Dr's Phone #. I know I would have if the tables had been reversed. Completely humbled. I love my husband!!! What a completely unselfish act of kindness. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. After being released from the spa at 3PM, I had a much better day.
